"Satan’s Attempt To Overthrow"

Satan’s Attempt To Overthrow God is being written because last week’s article contained information that needs clarification; “Katabole” and First Earth Age, taking place before this age, are events not referred to in everyday conversation. Scripture addresses them but extra effort on our part is required to recognize and utilize them to reach our spiritual goals.

Last week’s Created Equal article utilized the Greek Manuscripts to introduce “Katabole”, Satan’s Attempt To Overthrow God, to us; it also showed God ending the First Earth Age because of it:

katabole,  kat-ab-ol-ay'; from Greek 2598 (kataballo); a deposition, i.e. founding; figurative conception :- conceive, foundation.

Conception and conceive is illustrative of birth pains being felt by the founding Heaven and Earth Age giving birth a new Heaven and Earth Age, the one in which we now reside.

Satan’s Attempt to Overthrow God, in that age, gave God reason enough to end it; Revelation 12:4 KJV shows Satan successful at taking a third of us from God when he attempted to overthrow Him:

And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

Stars, in this verse, symbolize angels (messengers of God) and those messengers are us. Researching “Katabole” shows being (or not being) in the third that followed Satan determining when God brings us forth in this earth age and what is expected of us.

Concluding our point that the Manuscripts show the “Katabole” and Satan’s Attempt To Overthrow God to be one and the same, “Ballo”, its primary verb, shows how violent and intense God became when it happened:

ballo,  bal'-lo; a primary verb; to throw (in various applications, more or less violent or intense):- arise, cast (out), × dung, lay, lie, pour, put (up), send, strike, throw (down), thrust.

Isaiah 14:12 KJV gives the reason for God striking down and thrusting away that Heaven and earth age:

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Taking a third of us from God is Lucifer (Satan) weakening the nations; it also weakens us. We continue with Isaiah 14:13-14 KJV where God is addressing Satan about his high and mighty thoughts:

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: [14] I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Failing at his attempt to overthrow God in the age that was does not alter Satan’s goal; he still sees himself overthrowing God and being like Him and becoming the Most High but in Isaiah 14:15-16 KJV God tells precisely what the future holds for him:

[15] Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. [16] They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

God prophesies that we will narrowly view him in the pit and when doing this, we are reminded of his attempt to overthrow Him, of kingdoms being shook and earth made to tremble. Isaiah 14:17 KJV shows the earth desolate and that age ended:

That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

There is no reason for that Heaven and earth age and the “Katabole” to remain a mystery; Jeremiah 4:26-27 KJV confirms what Isaiah is saying, that it ended that age:

I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by his fierce anger. [27] For thus hath the Lord said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

Destroying that age without making a full end brings us to this age, an age of opportunity and this, the flesh age is a golden opportunity to show God the kind of stuff we are really made of…

Peter, in 2 Peter 3:5 KJV, adding to what Jeremiah and Isaiah has to say, challenges us not to willingly be ignorant about the days of old, the Heaven and Earth Age that Satan’s attempt to overthrow brought to an end:

For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

And not being ignorant of those days requires digesting scripture, scripture that is contained in the little book that John is referring to in Rev. 10:10 KJV:

And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

Reading scripture is eating up what that little book has for us; it makes us feel good because His Word is sweet and good.

Digesting this article’s eleven verses illustrates the bitterness that understanding brings; they remind us of a time temporarily blotted from our minds, a time when Satan coaxed a third of us away from God, a time that was ended by the “Katabole”.

Does learning of Satan’s Attempt To Overthrow God put a taste of bitterness in your stomach?
