FAITH COMMENTARY
"Christ Removes Emptiness "

Have you ever wondered why so much appears to be missing in your life? Perhaps you have pondered over that missing ingredient. Yes, we’re referring to the ingredient that keeps fullness from your reach.

Paul needed only four verses in Colossians to describe the fullness that can be achieved when you root yourself in Christ.

Paul writes in Col. 2:7 KJV that you are rooted and built up in Christ when you establish your faith in Him. He continues his point in Col. 2:8 KJV which reads:

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Your rooting must be in God’s Word and not in the philosophies of men; you must know Christ if you are to follow Him! The next verse, Col. 2:9 KJV tells us:

For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Christ is the Word and you must go where fullness can be found. Fullness dwelleth in Him and when His Word dwells in you, fullness displaces emptiness. Paul solidifies this point in the next verse; Col. 2:10 KJV reads:

And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

Paul does not mix words when making this point: Your fullness in Him makes you complete in Him. Feeling His warmth and power assures you that “everything is alright”.

Do you take the time and do you make the effort to understand God’s Word? It is the only way to reach Him and bring fullness into your life.

Do you desire to rid yourself of the emptiness you feel? The joy of His Fullness awaits you! Why not commit yourself to understanding four verses from God’s Word each day, four additional verses like the four you have uncovered here today.
